Forage based livestock in the hills of the Mountain State
Set across four properties in Harrison County, West Virginia. We run three-hundred head of Katahdin hair sheep, one-hundred head of Spanish Goats, keep sixty to one-hundred stocker calves, and around fifty commercial cows.
Management Philosophy/Practices
We strive to develop livestock breeds that can thrive in the Southeast humid climate with minimal inputs. Our goal is to limit inputs and maximize production while improving soil health in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Livestock (Inventory and Sales)
We have registered and commercial Katahdin sheep (butcher lambs and replacement females and males), Spanish goats (Balyis and Kensing lines), and butcher beef and commercial bulls and females. We also breed livestock guardian dogs.
